On October 10, 1996 I was summoned to New York by Archbishop George Forde in the presence of Archbishops Wilfred Portier & Vincent Waterman and given a charge to rebuild the Anglican/African Orthodox Church. Their request was a complete surprise but a challenge. I accepted. After lunch we traveled to Evergreen Cemetery to visit the 62 year old grave of our beloved founder Archbishop George Alexander McGuire, in prayerful submission, where we spent an hour and more; thus the journey began.
I have a story that I love to tell and here with the poet/evangelist Katharine Hankey I join with her in expanding my her words.
November 1,1996 the story unfolded, over the next few days we shall tell the story in the ambience of the poet.
Hear her first verse :
I love to tell the story, of unseen things above
Of Jesus and his glory, Of Jesus and his love
I love to tell the story, because I know its true
It satisfies my longings, as nothing else can do
