October 10th 1996 was a balmy New York day as we traveled to Evergreen Cemetery to visit the grave of our founder. As we stood before his grave in quiet submission we prayed . It was Archbishop’s Forde, Portier & Waterman with this your humble servant. We were not waiting for an answer but the direction which came thru our prayers. We spent an hour before we departed, knowing what was to be done. Personally I have visited 3 more times, 2005, 2011 & 2017; always inspirational.
As we prepare for the 24th day of this wonderful repose, we return to the words of Katherine Hankey “I love to tell the story” to share this with you as a part of my story, hear Katharine again...
“I love to tell the story, more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies, of all the golden dreams
I love to tell the story; it did so much for me
And that is just the reason, I tell it now to thee”
My story continues...
